Take highway 101 to Forks. Turn east at the only stoplight in Forks. Proceed 1/3 mile to Miller Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast (on the right).

Forks is located in Clallam County, on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula, in Washington State.

Transportation Information

Most out of state guests fly to Seattle/Tacoma Airport, then rent a car for the 4 hour drive to Forks. BEWARE of GPS directions from the airport to Forks via Seattle and the Edmonds-Kingston ferry. The fastest route is by following:

• Interstate 5 south toward Portland, but exiting in Tacoma
• Highway 16, turning into Highway 3 north from Tacoma to Bremerton
• Highway 3 north from Bremerton to Poulsbo, continuing to the Hood Canal Bridge
• Highway 104 across the Hood Canal Bridge to Highway 101
• Highway 101 north, then west to Port Angeles (where "Twilight" fans can eat dinner at Bella Italia restaurant). Continue west on Highway 101 to Forks.

If you are visiting downtown Seattle before driving to Forks, then you might take the Seattle to Bainbridge Island (Winslow) ferry.

If you want to visit "Twilight" movie sites in Oregon and southern Washington, shown at ExperienceTwilight.com or DarkDestinations.blogspot, you could fly to Portland, OR, then rent a car for the 5 hour drive to Forks via Chehalis, Elma and Aberdeen. Two noteworthy sites to visit in Oregon are the Carver Cafe and The View Point Inn.

You can fly to Port Angeles, which saves a little time, but involves a change of airports.

It is also possible to reach Forks with public transportation, but be aware that some services do not operate on Sundays and some require advance reservations. Once in Forks, there is very limited service to La Push, Neah Bay and Kalaloch, and nothing to the Hoh Rain Forest. Here are relevant links:

For a nice side trip, you can take your car or walk on to the auto ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria, British Columbia. Be sure to bring passports for everyone and birth certificates for children.

It takes 6-7 hours by auto and ferry to drive from Vancouver, British Columbia to Forks. If you choose the Keystone to Port Townsend ferry, then reservations are recommended, especially in the busy summer travel season. This ferry is subject to stormy weather closures in the winter.
