Visiting Olympic National Park

April 8, 2020 | Uncategorized

Most of the Miller Tree Inn guests come to explore the wonders and natural beauty of Olympic National Park.  Olympic National Park has 3 distinct areas to explore.  The park boasts of glacier capped mountains, lush rainforests and wild and rugged ocean beaches.  We encourage our guests to make time to spend one or more days exploring each of these unique park features. The Miller Tree Inn is located in Forks, WA which is a central location for many of the attractions on the west side of Olympic National Park.  In a short 20 minute drive, you will find yourself either at Rialto beach, First Beach at La Push or the trail head for either Second or Third Beach.  Or, if you want a forest experience, in about 45 minutes you can be at Sol Duc Hot Springs walking the trail to Sol Duc Falls, or Lake Crescent, hiking to Marymere Falls, or the Hoh Rainforest strolling through the Hall of Mosses.  A 45 minute drive to the south of Forks, will take you to Ruby beach and the numbered Kalaloch beaches. The mountain portion of the park can be accessed through Hurricane Ridge, about a 2 hour drive from Forks.  If you still need a rainforest fix, you might consider also going to the Lake Quinault area about 1.5 hours from Forks.  There are more big trees, mosses and ferns waiting for you there. Come relax with us near beautiful Olympic National Park!
